playGo AP1 AirPlay Receiver
The AP1 from playGo is a compact AirPlay receiver featuring high-end audio circuitry, touch-sensitive controls and DLNA support. The AP1 has a digital audio out, analog audio out, USB and ethernet inputs. It’s currently a project on Kickstarter and for $199+ you can get yourself one (assuming they reach their funding goal of $150,000 by July 5, 2012).
For more details check out their Kickstarter page.
Still don’t see the value proposition when you can buy a refurbished Airport Express that does the same thing for $80.
I thought receivers had amps.
@Adam, it depends of the DAC module used in this one because the Airport Express has a really crap one. I am using an external DAC that worth $300 (…).
