Got the SoundRing today and compared to my Philips Fidelio AD7000W/37. Watt is not everything. The Sound ring has more power but the sound seems to be not as good as with my Philips Fidelio AD7000W/37. Will do more tests but looks like the design is the only good thing with the ring.
I bought the ds3880w from Philips but brouht it back to the shop as the sound was good and I love the product, but after some hours there was no sound. It stopped playing, but when I pressed the volume button, the volume slider of my iPad changed. So there was a connection. After reset and installing again, it works for some hours and then it stopped again. After four time this problem in two days I stopped putting energy in this product.
lol
I too bought this unit but it works like crap. Keeps loosing the sound stream and drops out all the time.. Philips blame it on Apples iPhone4S but we also use iPhone4 and iPad and these iDevices preform exactly the same.. Poor service and 3 months of non-working speaker! Do not buy!!
